‘extInked’ began life as a collection of 100 photographic portraits made as part of the art and ecology project by UHC, in which one hundred original drawings of endangered British Species were tattooed onto one hundred volunteers. Each portrait does not show each of the tattoos but rather the moment after the tattoo has been made.
Since then Anatomy Projects have been working with UHC to follow and record ambassador activity as they learn more about their chosen species and campaign to raise awareness of their vulnerable positions.
