‘Haiku’ is a collaboration between Anatomy Projects and Naomi Kashiwagi.
By exploring the ceremonial acts that are part of much of Japanese culture and the everyday preparation of the western woman, it is hoped that each of the photographic meetings will become ritualistic and capture a moment that is imbued with performative rites and serendipitous outcomes. Through the repetitive process and gradually learnt activity, knowledge becomes embodied tacitly, in the meeting between camera and performer.
